We took a tour over the border into mainland China and visited Shenzhen, a rapidly growing commercial city. According to our Chinese Tour Guide, who took over from the Hong Kong guide as soon as we crossed the border, everybody in China is happy, nobody is poor any longer, and they all love the guy behind Diana and Michael, leader Deng Xiaoping.
