Paris with Diana, July 2005
Diana had one day to see Paris during her time in England, so she boarded the Eurostar Chunnel train at London's Waterloo station very early in the morning and returned on the last train that night. The trip takes about 2½ hours. Since this was her first trip to Paris, she got on a tour bus to get an overview of the city before she entered the Louvre. This was the day that the 2012 Olympics host city was announced. Paris was decked out for the celebration they knew they would be enjoying that night. London got the nod instead, but knowing the French, the party probably happened anyway.
