Charney Manor, one of the oldest occupied houses in England, was built in the early 1200s by the Benectines to administer the vast holdings of the Benedictine Abbey in Abingdon. It is now owned by the Quakers, who offer it as a conference center and retreat. The group was there for 5 days for a Positive Self-Management Program for HIV/AIDS train-the-trainer session. It's a delightful place, and the cooks are fabulous!
